with its Skyfey concept: the closed, modular system creates a cycle in large buildings. The concept is based on the idea of indoor plant production and utilisation of organic waste. Its goal is self-sufficiency in terms of food, energy, water and clean air.

Closed plant production

Visioverdis is working on a closed plant production unit that can produce food for residents or restaurants.

Self-sufficient heat and energy supply

Gasification of the building’s internal sewage sludge supplies the building and the plant production system with heat and energy. Ashes from the sludge fertilise the plants.

Modular cycle

The cycle is composed of modules which are switched in series and synchronised. They can be integrated into new buildings as well as existing structures (as upgrades).

Improved air quality

Beyond the provision of food, the plant production system also serves the purpose of capturing carbon dioxide and transforming it into oxygen, improving the climate inside the building.

Environmentally friendly water supply

Treated water is reused; grey water is channelled to the plant production system. Collected rainwater can cover any remaining water requirements in the residential units.
